Janie Dee swept London's three Best Actress honors (the Laurence Olivier, Evening Standard and Critics Circle Awards) for her performance in this futuristic black comedy about an aspiring screenwriter who gets more than he bargained for when he falls in love with his robotic leading lady. This intriguing look at how life could turn out in the not too distant future -- from Britain's master of the comic flourish -- was also nominated for London's prestigious Olivier Award for Best Comedy.
